"I don't know what I'm actually paying."
Platform fee, fund OCF, transaction costs, adviser charge, FX spread. Stacked together, 2.1% a year can quietly consume a third of a 25-year return.
Hidden dragMost UK investors are paying for performance they never actually receive. We review your holdings, costs and tax wrappers line by line — then show you, in plain English, exactly what to keep, cut or restructure.
Our advisers have held senior roles at
Halewood Capital Northbank Wealth Sterling & Rowe Kingsley Asset Mgmt Thameside PartnersYou've done the hard part — you saved, you invested, you stayed in the market. But somewhere between the platform statements, the fund factsheets and the annual review you never quite got, the picture stopped being clear.
We hear the same four sentences from almost every investor who books a call with us. If any of them sound like your own, a 30-minute review will tell you more than three years of statements.
Platform fee, fund OCF, transaction costs, adviser charge, FX spread. Stacked together, 2.1% a year can quietly consume a third of a 25-year return.
Hidden dragOverlapping global trackers and "diversified" managed funds often leave investors with 70% exposure to the same forty US companies — without ever choosing it.
False diversificationAllowances changed. The CGT exemption fell to £3,000. Dividend allowance dropped to £500. A portfolio built for old rules is now taxed under new ones.
Stale strategyCommission-shaped advice is still common. If the recommendation always happens to be the recommender's own product, you're not getting advice — you're getting a sales call.
Conflicted adviceWe are a fee-based consultancy. We don't manufacture funds, we don't take commission, and we don't hold your money. We get paid for one thing only: making your portfolio easier to understand and cheaper to own.
Every charge on every holding, totalled into one honest number — then modelled forward 10, 20 and 30 years so you can see the compounding cost.
We look through your funds to the underlying holdings, region, sector and factor exposure — and show you the concentration you didn't know you owned.
ISA, SIPP, GIA, LISA and offshore bonds behave very differently after the 2024 allowance cuts. We put each asset in the wrapper that keeps the most of its return.
After your consultation you receive a plain-English Portfolio Position Report: what you hold, what it costs, what risk you're actually carrying, and a prioritised action list you can implement yourself or hand to any adviser you like. It's yours to keep, whether you work with us or not.
Illustrative figures based on an anonymised 2025 client review of a £310,000 portfolio. Your results will differ. Past performance is not a guide to future returns.
No lengthy onboarding, no 40-page fact-find before anyone speaks to you. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you book.
Pick a 30-minute slot that suits you — mornings, evenings or Saturdays. Video or phone, your choice. You'll get a short three-question form, not a questionnaire marathon.
2 minutesUpload or forward your latest platform and pension statements through our encrypted client portal. We only need holdings and valuations — never your login details.
10 minutesA qualified adviser models your costs, look-through exposure, tax position and drawdown resilience, then writes up the findings in language you'd use at the kitchen table.
5–7 working daysWe present the findings, answer everything, and hand you a prioritised action list. Implement it yourself, use your existing adviser, or engage us on a fixed fee. No pressure either way.
45 minutesTeachers, contractors, company directors, retirees and first-time ISA investors. Different pots, same relief at finally seeing the whole picture.
"I'd been with the same wealth manager for nine years and assumed 'discretionary' meant someone was watching it closely. The cost breakdown was genuinely uncomfortable reading — but it was the first time anyone had shown me a single total figure. I moved platform within a month."
"My worry wasn't returns, it was whether I could stop working at 60 without running out at 85. They stress-tested it against three market scenarios and showed me the drawdown order. I slept properly for the first time in a year."
"I thought owning fourteen funds meant I was diversified. The look-through analysis showed nearly a third of my money was in the same handful of American tech companies, three times over. Nobody at my platform had ever mentioned it. We cut it to five holdings, lowered the cost, and the portfolio actually behaves the way I expected it to now."
"I'd been drip-feeding into a general investment account for years without realising I had unused ISA allowance sitting there. The bed-and-ISA plan they sequenced for me will save me more in tax than the whole review cost."
"I only had £22,000 and expected to be turned away. Instead I got a straight answer on what to buy, what it would cost and what not to bother with. No upsell at the end, which honestly surprised me."
YourFinanceFeed was founded in Finsbury Square in 2017 by three advisers who left large wealth managers for the same reason: the advice was good, but the incentives were wrong. We removed commission entirely, published our fees, and committed to never manufacturing a product we could then recommend.
Today our team of eleven Chartered and Level 6 qualified advisers has reviewed over £186 million of UK portfolios — from £20,000 first ISAs to £9 million family structures. We hold no client money, take no third-party payments, and publish an annual conflicts statement.
Yes. The 30-minute consultation costs nothing and carries no obligation. We use it to understand your situation, tell you honestly whether a full review would be worth your money, and quote a fixed fee if it would. Roughly one in six people who call us are told they don't need us — we'd rather say so than take the work.
Our standard Portfolio Position Report is a fixed £495 for portfolios up to £500,000, and £795 above that. More complex work — trusts, corporate structures, multi-jurisdictional assets — is quoted individually before anything begins. There are no percentage-of-assets charges and no ongoing retainer unless you specifically ask for one.
No, and we can't take them anyway — we don't hold client assets. Your money stays exactly where it is, with your existing platform or provider. We give you the analysis and the action list; you decide what to do with it, whether that's DIY, your current adviser, or engaging us for implementation support.
We work with portfolios from around £20,000 upwards. Smaller pots often benefit most, because a 1.5% annual cost drag matters just as much proportionally — and getting the structure right at the start saves decades of correction later.
Documents are uploaded through an encrypted UK-hosted portal, stored with AES-256 encryption, and access-restricted to the adviser assigned to you. We never ask for platform login credentials. Data is retained for six years as required by FCA record-keeping rules, then securely destroyed. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Yes — defined contribution pensions, SIPPs, drawdown sequencing and retirement income modelling are core to what we do. Defined benefit transfer advice is outside our permissions, and we will refer you to a specialist firm if that's what you need.
Thirty minutes with a qualified UK adviser. No products, no pressure, no fee. Just a straight answer to the question your statements never quite manage to answer.
